Dr. Catherine Fontaine- Sylvestre
Dr. Catherine obtained her Dental Degree (D.M.D.) from Laval University in her home province of Québec. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency program (GPR) at the Montréal Children’s Hospital within McGill University. During this one-year intensive dental training, she provided a full range of dental treatments to children and adolescents with complex dental problems and medical conditions requiring hospital-based dental treatments. She then traded the French East Coast for the Prairies to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. During these years, she obtained her Masters Degree (M.Sc.) while completing research on the Invisalign® clear aligners. After working in an Invisalign®-exclusive orthodontic practice in Montreal for a few years, she is now back in the Peg for good! Dr. Catherine is also involved in teaching orthodontic residents at the University of Manitoba as an Assistant Professor.
Modern in her approach to treatment, her goal is to create a plan unique to each patient’s lifestyle. We know that you and your family will love her contagious enthusiasm, attention to detail and artistic touch she puts in every smile she designs.
