After earning a degree in Dentistry from the University of Manitoba, Dr. Mark Rykiss completed his orthodontic training at University of Maryland in 1982. "Dr. Mark" is passionate about orthodontics and it shows in both his work and in his joyful interactions with patients and staff.

After graduating from the University of Manitoba with both his DMD and MSc. in Orthodontics, Dr. Jared Rykiss decided to stay in his beloved Winnipeg (NOTE: This decision was made even BEFORE the return of the Winnipeg Jets!) to help transform smiles with his father and fellow orthodontist, Dr. Mark Rykiss. Together, they have combined their knowledge, expertise and passion for orthodontics into one of Winnipeg's TOP orthodontic practices. Dr. Catherine obtained her Dental Degree (D.M.D.) from Laval University in her home province of Québec. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency program (GPR) at the Montréal Children’s Hospital within McGill University. During this one-year intensive dental training, she provided a full range of dental treatments to children and adolescents with complex dental problems and medical conditions requiring hospital-based dental treatments. She then traded the French East Coast for the Prairies to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. During these years, she obtained her Masters Degree (M.Sc.) while completing research on the Invisalign® clear aligners. After working in an Invisalign®-exclusive orthodontic practice in Montreal for a few years, she is now back in the Peg for good! Dr. Catherine is also involved in teaching orthodontic residents at the University of Manitoba as an Assistant Professor.
