Services
Endovenous Laser Therapy - This procedure is done in the office setting under ultrasound guidance. The vein is frozen with a local anesthetic. Laser fibre is inserted in the diseased vein which is then heated and fuses the vein shut rerouting blood to nearby healthy veins. This procedure takes approximately an hour.
VenaSeal Glue Closure
Saphenectomy (GSV Ligation and Stripping) - Procedure is done at the hospital in the Operating Room usually under a general anesthesia. For the great saphenous vein, an incision is done at the groin crease and the knee level. Subsequently the vein is pulled out.
Venous Ligation (AASV and SSV) - This procedure is done at the hospital in the Operating Room, typically under a local anesthesia. A small incision is made over the beginning of an unhealthy vein at which point the vein is tied off, restricting the reversed flow.
Phelebectomy - Procedure affects the tributaries (small branches) and is done at the hospital in the Operating Room usually under a local anesthesia. Very small puncture wounds are made in proximity to the varicose vein to pull them out and to disrupt their flow.
Sclerotherapy - Procedure is done at the clinic. Sclerosant (Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate) is injected into a vein and fuses the vein closed. Sclerodex (Dextrose and NaCL) is also used for spider veins.
Compression Devices - Conservative treatment with well-fitted custom compression stockings is safe and effective for some patients. Compression devices should be worn every day from morning till evening for the best results. Certified fitter is available, and we are an authorized distributor of Sigvaris.

Dr. Lukasz Boba, MD
Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Boba is a board-certified Vascular Surgeon via the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He completed his Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Toronto and Vascular Surgery Advanced Aortic fellowship at Mayo Clinic in US. He is trained and experienced in both Endovascular and Vascular open surgery to treat both Artery and Vein conditions.
He is certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Additionally, Dr Boba has extensive emergency medicine experience and completed the family-emergency residency at the Western University and Northern Ontario School of Medicine. He graduated from Jagiellonian University Medical College.
Dr. Boba is interested in Global Health, education, and quality improvement research. Regularly he attends local and international conferences to update his clinical knowledge and experience.
