Dr. Parviz Soomekh, MD
Dr. Parviz Soomekh, M.D. is a board-certified anesthesiologist with over 10 years of experience in providing anesthesia solutions to a wide range of surgical specialties, including Interventional Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Vascular. He has extensive experience in administering anesthesia for ambulatory procedures that require moderate sedation and pain management, such as UFE.
He currently serves as Director of Anesthesia at the New York Eye Surgery Centers, as Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at Posh Anesthesia Group and as Attending Anesthesiologist at both the Brooklyn Endoscopy & Ambulatory Surgery Center and the New York Presbyterian Cornell Lower Manhattan Hospital.
Dr. Soomekh received his Bachelor of Science with Cum Laude distinction from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY. He received his medical degree and completed his residency in anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has co-authored numerous scientific publications on a variety of topics related to anesthesia.
