Dr. Hennessey is a board certified orthodontist who is passionate about creating beautiful and healthy smiles. He strives to provide the highest quality personalized care for his patients in a friendly and professional environment. Dr. Hennessey regularly attends worldwide continual education courses, seeking out the latest technologies to ensure the best possible patient experience and clinical result. Dr. Hennessey was born in the highlands of Scotland, but grew up in Donegal, Ireland. He, his wife Jenny, and their cat Larry, have fallen in love with Nova Scotia and feel very much at home in their new community. Dr. Hennessey enjoys walks on the beach, hiking, swimming and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Hennessey is a strong believer in giving back to both local and international communities, having previously volunteered as a dentist with charities in Cambodia

Education

Dr. Hennessey obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Science degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He worked as a general dentist for 4 years, at a private practice in Dublin. During this time, he successfully completed his membership exams for the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. Dr. Hennessey completed his residency and obtained his Masters of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Hennessy has presented the results of his research on Invisalign at prominent orthodontic conferences. He is a board certified orthodontist and a published author.
