Finding a good, honest dentist can be a daunting task, especially in South Florida. My search began when I was told I needed a root canal. Having not visited a dentist in an embarrassingly long time, I knew I likely had a few cavities, but the prospect of a root canal was overwhelming. Determined to get multiple opinions, I made appointments with four different dentists in my area and even a fifth out of state. Each one had a different diagnosis, which only added to my confusion and frustration. Additionally, a few dentists tried to upsell me on treatments I didn't need, like Invisalign, which further eroded my trust. Amid all this stress, I took a step back to reflect on my personal interactions with each dentist. I asked myself, "Who do I want to work with and who do I believe is the best overall?" This introspection led me to Dr. Michelle Luis. Dr. Luis is not only passionate and extremely knowledgeable about her work, but she genuinely cares about her patients. When I called her to discuss my experiences and research, she listened patiently. Together, we devised a plan to avoid the root canal by opting for an inlay, which was a more comfortable and cost-effective solution for me. She was upfront about the possibility of it not working fully, but I was willing to take the chance. Her work was impeccable. I have had zero issues or sensitivity since the procedure, and it worked like a charm. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Luis's flexibility and expertise. She even reached out to me personally to ensure I was doing well and to check if I had any issues. When was the last time anyone did that? This entire experience has actually made me excited to go to the dentist. I now feel like I have someone I can trust completely, which is priceless in today's world. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Michelle Luis. She is truly one of a kind in a world where everyone seems to just all blend together. I can’t thank Dr. Michelle Luis enough for the quality of service and care she have given me! Dr. Luis is an extremely brilliant, friendly and honest doctor, which has not always been my experience with past dentists. She always greets me with with a warm and friendly face, which is always appreciated. She has done everything from my cleanings, crowns, and Zoom whitening treatments, and I have been extremely satisfied with every result. I highly recommend Dr. Luis. Dr. Michelle Luis, a south Florida native, practices as a general dentist with substantive experience with fillings, crowns and bridge, veneers, extractions, dentures, Invisalign®, and root canals. She also has expertise with a number of cosmetic procedures to aid patients in looking and feeling their very best, including teeth whitening, and Botox® . She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science and a Doctorate in Dentistry from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Luis easily connects with her patients and provides services using a multifactorial approach, involving a clear communication style, the utilization of innovative methods, a gentle approach to the application of services, and a high degree of diligence and professionalism. Dr. Luis is warm and engaging and she is passionate about connecting with her patients in order to create the most comfortable environment to understand and receive treatment. I came into the office and I see that the place was clean and the staff was very professional. The added bonus of the office was the modern technology that was so state of the art it looked like future tech fro Star Trek. The dental technician prepared me for a cleaning and also prepared the X-rays for what needed to be done. Dr Luis cleaned and made many months of annoying pain from a lopsided wisdom tooth go away. The remainder of the tooth was cleanly extracted and closed up. Nearly a month later, the joke closed up very nicely like the tooth never existed.

I had a great experience! I was referred by a friend when I mentioned I was looking for a new dentist. The office is really lovely and the staff were personable and professional. They have the latest tech for taking dental X-rays so it was over really quickly and was much more comfortable. Dr. Luis is really nice and did my cleaning herself as her assistant was off! I also had a cosmetic procedure and Dr. Luis was very thoughtful and listened to my concerns. Super pleased.

What an unexpectedly AMAZING experience!
From the front desk to the dentist’s chair, every step of the way was filled with kindness from the whole staff!! I was scared with LOTS of questions & Dr. Luis took her time & assured me I was in good hands but later, I realized I was in GREAT hands! I have highly recommended Sher Dental to my friends.
