I first went to Dr Drysdale in Tantallon. When she came back to Halifax, I went back to her. I have recommended her to friends and have said ‘I almost wish I had to go to the dentist more often. They are all so nice there. ‘ I have had a lot of dental care over the years and everything has been painless. Everyone you deal with is pleasant.
My children have seen both “Dr.Ellen” and “Dr.Joey” and I have nothing but positive things to say. They are both amazing with children (and nervous parents too!) You know this office is doing something right when my 2 six year olds are fighting over who goes first! Thank you for the incredible care!
I had a cracked tooth that was causing excruciating pain. Lake side Dental was the only Dental Office to take me in as an Emergency and extracted the tooth The best experience I've had at a Dental Office! From the receptionist Charlotte, to the Dental hygienist Gina and Dr. Emma! They are an extraordinary team! They have patients for life with myself and my family. If you are looking for a Family Dentist, this is the Dental Office you absolutely should call!
The service and excellence in care I receive here feels like something I shouldn't be able to afford. It feels like the cadillac version of dentistry. I have so much trust in this team over and above every dental professional I have worked with in my 43 years. The energy of everyone here is so positive and the skill level is immaculate. I have had the most amazing experiences since I have become a patient here and it gets better with every visit. My teeth are in the best shape ever both healthwise and cosmetically. Dr. Drysdale is a true one of a kind and I feel like she sets the standard for every other dentist. Her kindness, skill, and passion drives the entire team to be the best in their profession. The dental assistants and the entire staff are highly skilled and have my full trust. I owe them a huge debt of gratitdue (Sarah) this week for saving my front tooth after finding in a cleaning that I needed a bite adjustment to prevent long term damage. I was booked in for the fix within 2 days and now my bite is perfect and I feel relief. My orthodontist missed this issue even though I asked about it several times. The other bonus is the massage chairs which makes you actually look forward to getting a cleaning or seeing the dentist. I can't say enough good about this entire staff and clinic. I will never go anywhere else because Dr. Drysdale and I have a plan to keep my teeth forever.

Dr. Ellen Drysdale is originally from Halifax. She has had the privilege of serving her community for over 20 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University before graduating from Dalhousie Dental School in 1994 where she was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Greatest proficiency in Clinical Dentistry and Academic Acheivement, Quintessence Prize for Excellence in Clinical Achievement in Periodontics and Canadian Academy of Periodontology Prize. Dr. Drysdale is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association. She is licensed with the Nova Scotia Dental Board.

Our family's experience with Drysdale has been marked by a decline in oral health despite substantial investment in cleaning, checkups, and restorative procedures, ultimately resulting in necessary extractions. This outcome stems from inadequate communication, substandard care, and unprofessional conduct. This feedback serves to inform Drysdale that alternative dental practices offer superior care and customer service. We will not be seeking future services.
