If you are looking for an orthodontist for you or your kids, I urge you to read on. I am an adult in my 10th month of regular braces (not Invisalign) and I see him in his Sonoma office. I suggest you get a free consultation from Dr. Riano like I did. His consultation was extremely thorough, and he and his staff answered ALL of my questions completely. If possible, I suggest you get your free consultation with him before any others. This way, you will see how high he sets the bar for other orthodontists. Also, do you know that feeling you get when you are with a doctor and you have 150% complete confidence In the doctor’s education, training and you are completely certain that the doctor is going to take complete care of you, and be there for you every step of the way ? This is the feeling I get when I visit him. I highly recommend him!
We came to this office for my husbands Invisalign consultation. Everyone was so nice! They have really fancy tech too. The dental assistant, Andrea, was very professional and friendly! She explained everything she was doing and what it was for. Dr. Riaño was so nice! He explained the whole process that my husband would go through and was very open to questions. Hilda helped us with the invoice and billing and was so kind! The whole experience was amazing. We were treated like family! We highly recommend this orthodontics office!

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I developed my passion for orthodontics from anthropological studies of indigenous tribes in the Colombian Amazon. I have a dual degree from the Military University in Colombia and the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and have been practicing Orthodontics since 1997.
Dr. Riaño is ardent about creating beautiful smiles and helping children, teens and adults in the Bay Area look their very best. Dr. Riaño is an elite provider for Incognito hidden lingual braces and is a platinum provider for Invisalign clear aligners. He is also a proud member and speaker of the Golden Circle of Excellence for 3M Unitek. Away from the office, Dr. Riaño enjoys rock climbing, surfing, playing soccer and taking adventurous long hikes with his wife and three children.
