If you are eligible for the government grant then you would be responsible for 10% of the consulting fees, and the government would cover the remaining 90%. Remember, the government will pay up to $15,000 when you’re covering 10% and the purpose of the grant is for the consultant to provide you with a comprehensive roadmap on how your practice can become more digital.
We’ve put together a consulting package specifically for dentists where the consulting fees are $16,650. You would be responsible for $1,665 and the government would be contributing $14,985.

There are four qualifying criteria a business must meet to be qualified:
- Be incorporated federally or provincially, or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor
- Be a for-profit, privately owned business
- Have between 1 – 499 full time equivalent employees
- Have at least $500,000 of annual revenues in one of the previous three tax years
As long as you meet this criteria, you can apply for the grant (either with our help or without) and be approved on the spot.
No, the grant is for strategic and advisory purposes. The government is providing you with the grant to have a consultant build the digital road map. Once you receive the roadmap / strategy, you can apply to get an interest free loan for up to $100,000 to put towards technology acquisitions through CDAP. With this said, if you decide to work with us on your CDAP grant and you get approved, we’d be able to provide you with a longer free trial of Connect the Doc services so you can see the value of being more digital without any capital expenditures.
No, however, you can schedule a Zoom meeting with our digital advisor who can work with you on a phone call to apply. We know how confusing some of these things can be and are happy to help where we can.
CDAP covers 90% of the consulting fees and you are required to pay 10%. The program we have put together for you costs $16,650, where you would be responsible to pay a $1,665 and the government would contribute it’s 90% at $14,985.
Once you are approved and have paid your $1665 deposit to our partner consultant, the consultant will work on your digital roadmap. Once the roadmap has been completed, they will submit it to the government and the government will deposit $14,985 into your bank account to pay for the remainder of the contract.
Engagements can commence within 2 weeks of receiving the deposit and then will take an additional 2-6 weeks to complete. During this time, you will be benefit from free trials of Connect the Doc’s review platform and chatbot as an audit of your performance during this time will be included in your strategy.
All consultants that are eligible for the CDAP program have been vetted by the Canadian Government. You will be working with a team of digital marketing and operational experts who have developed successful strategies across a dental practices of all sizes.
That is up to you. Your digital roadmap will have a variety of suggestions, areas for improvements, and things that you can do to improve your practice. Implementation is not covered by the grant, however, if you enjoyed working with us, we’d be more than happy to work with you in areas that we can help and refer you to our points of contact for areas that we are not experts in.
Your plan will include a variety of audits to help you see how digital your practice is and provide you with action items for ways to improve each category. We’d also like to learn from you what areas you would like to be more digital in. The range can be everything from digitizing new patient intake forms to using digital job boards for hiring to ranking on Google for top keywords. Anything that uses technology to help you become more efficient or provide better outcomes is a topic for us to discuss.
The Government of Canada has a list of approved digital advisors from which you can choose. If you decide to work with us, you’ll benefit from a team of professionals that focus specifically on dental and orthodontic offices.
Yes, as long as each company meets the requirement, you are able to fill out separate applications for each corporation.
If you have accessed funding through the Programme Audit Industries 4.0, Digital Boost 2.0 or the Digital Acceleration Pilot then you are not eligible for the Boost Your Business Technology grant. You may still qualify for a $100,000 interest free loan through BDC.
